DECLARATIVE KNOWLEDGE
Declarative knowledge is factual knowledge. For example knowingthat "A cathode ray tube is used to project a picture in most televisions" is declarative knowledge. Propositional knowledge or declarative knowledge is knowledge or the possession of information that is either true or false. Declarative knowledge is assertion-oriented. It describes objects and events by specifying the properties which characterize them; it does not pay attention to the actionsneeded to obtain a result, but only on its properties.

Top-down and bottom-up
are strategies of information processing and knowledge ordering, mostly involving software, but also other humanistic and scientific theories . In practice, they can be seen as a style of thinking and teaching. In many cases top-down is used as a synonym of analysis or decomposition, and bottom-up of synthesis.Bottom-Up Processing
The cognitive system is organized hierarchically. The most basic perceptual systems are located at the bottom of the hierarchy, and the most complex cogntive (e.g. memory, problem solving) systems are located at the top of the hierarchy.

Procedural knowledge,
also known as imperative knowledge, is the knowledge exercised in the performance of some task.

Proceduralknowledge is different from other kinds of knowledge, such as declarative knowledge, in that it can be directly applied to a task. For instance, the procedural knowledge one uses to solve problems differs from the declarative knowledge one possesses about problem solving.

interlanguage
a mixture of two languages, especially one used by someone learning a new language, that contains features of theperson’s first language mixed with those of the language they are learning

An interlanguage is an emerging linguistic system that has been developed by a learner of a second language (or L2) who has not become fully proficient yet but is approximating the target language: preserving some features of their first language (or L1), or overgeneralizing target language rules in speaking or writingthe target language and creating innovations.

Process Oriented Psychology (POP)
refers to a body of theory and practice that encompasses a broad range of psychotherapeutic, personal growth, and group process applications. Although bearing similar names, Process Oriented Psychology as developed by Arnold Mindell is distinct from Process Psychology derived from Whitehead's Process PhilosophyProcess-oriented performance-based assessment is concerned with the actual task performance rather than the output or product of the activity. Recent studies proved that it is also important to focus on the processes which the students underwent in order to arrive at these products and outputs rather than to focus only on the actual products or outputs.

Learning or instructional strategiesdetermine the approach for achieving the learning objectives and are included in the pre-instructional activities, information presentation, learner activities, testing, and follow-through. The strategies are usually tied to the needs and interests of students to enhance learning and are based on many types of learning styles.

language learning strageties -- specific actions, behaviours, steps,or techniques that students (often intentionally) use to improve their progress in developing L2 skills. These strategies can facilitate the internalization, storage, retrieval, or use of the new language. Strategies are tools for the self-directed involvement necessary for developing communicative ability.
