Academic Development
Standard A: Students will acquire the attitudes, knowledge and skills that contribute to effective learning in school and across the life span.
A:A1 Improve Academic Self-concept
The students will acknowledge their cultural background in order to detectparadigms and overcome them developing a better image of themselves through the celebration of being unique.
A:A2 Acquire Skills for Improving Learning
The students will learn how other culturally different students manage themselves and apply their own learning styles as they improve learning.
A:A3 Achieve School Success
As the student s learn on how other cultures work within, they will alsolearn how to work cooperatively with culturally different peers, through sharing their own particular knowledge and approach to the academic life.
Standard B: Students will complete school with the academic preparation essential to choose from a wide range of substantial post-secondary options, including college.
A:B1 Improve Learning
The students, with the cultural competent counselorguidance, will develop the motivation that lies within their own culture to achieve individual potential. Seeking information and support from their family and same culture peers, they will apply critical-thinking skills to improve learning.
A:B2 Plan to Achieve Goals
As unique as each person is, the cultural diverse students will plan to achieve their goals through identifying post-secondaryoptions consistent with interests, achievement, aptitudes and abilities.
Career Development
