Relationship Between Depression
The article raises an interesting question that we see every day in Everyday Life: the use of the internet. This tool was previouslyconsidered a privilege is now available to most people, each day increases the number of users on social networks, email and even blogs allowing you to have an overview of various issues and be connectedwith most people in different countries and learn more about their habits and opinions. Here focuses on a particular topic: the relationship between depression and Internet addiction, to develop thisresearch we used the Beck Depression Inventory, during application results were 38 hours per week were not for study or for employment which was harmful and was reflected in their academic performance,the relationship and their job performance. On the other hand people who are not addicted, just use the computer on average 8 hours.
Chat rooms are sites that most people who frequent a high numberof hours on the internet which is a common theme but also risky because often we see news that end in tragedy for these where you really do not know who this the other side of the computer and isexposed continuously as well as problems with social networks where there are cases of jealousy or even harassment. A new term was used in this research was to pathological Internet use (PIU) which refersto situations where Internet use is excessive. The subjects in this study were active Internet users who responded to publications on electronic support groups and some keywords or searched in majorsearch sites, was assessed by an online poll based on DSM-IV where demographic data were also relevant, responses were captured and sent to a file to the mailbox of the principal investigator those whoresponded with more than 5 "yes" were classified as addicted Internet users.
A total of 312 surveys they gathered left 259 valid profiles were: 130 men and 129 women.
