Past tense
The past tense grammar rules in English are easier to learn than the present tense. That's because the rules are the same for all subjects (I, you, he, she, it, we, they). In theaffirmative you add -ed to the verb. In the negative you add the word "didn't" (a contraction of "did" and "not"). To make a question you add the word "Did" to the beginning of the sentence. -------------------------------------------------

Unfortunately there are also many irregular past tense verbs (verbs that don't follow the -ed rule). In the next several lessons we will be learning approximately 10irregular verbs in the vocabulary section of each lesson. Here are this lesson's verbs.

come - came (venir)
drive - drove (manejar, conducir)
fly - flew (volar)

I.Write sentences in the past tense. If the verb is not in the list of tenirregular verbs above, it is regular (add -ed).
