THE BOSCOMBE VALLEY MISTERY

Watson part with Holmes to Boscombe Valley, a region near Ross, in Herefordshire. Upon arrival, Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard put them in charge of history which, in its usual shortsightedness, is a clear case. Young James has murdered his father, the farmer McCarthy. Although the young man's guilt seems obvious, taking into account the pleas of Alice Turner, daughter of millionaire John Turner and intimate friend of the young, gentlemanly, Lestrade has requested the presence of Sherlock Holmes. This will demonstrate once again the ineffectiveness of the usual police methods. Thanks to its brilliant performance, will come out a sordid case of blackmail and revenge, where the real criminal out to be the victim.

Sherlock Holmes will prevent theinnocent young man is convicted, and that without betraying the real culprit, about to declare to the divine justice in this way, to silence a scandal that would have affected innocent people. The story ends with a vote for the happiness of the young, ignorant of the shadows which darken his past.
