Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is an expanding, doctoral-granting institution
committed to preparing graduates for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship in the
global community. They are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, creative
activity and service and their supportive, multicultural learning communityprovides
undergraduate and graduate students with a challenging educational experience.
Texas A&M Corpus Christi offers a need-based scholarship for incoming freshmen majoring in
computer sciences. Each recipient is awarded $7,000 per year for 4 years, plus a lap-top computer.

M ENLO COLLEGE MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Menlo College islocated in the heart of Silicon Valley, the most dynamic area
of the country for entrepreneurs interested in establishing high-tech and
cutting-edge businesses. Focused on Business instead of offering a traditional
set of majors, they concentrate on outstanding programs in business
management and liberal arts. Sized for personal attention, they offer their 700 students from around
the world a richmarketplace of ideas, close-knit community of learning and growing with vast
opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.
Menlo College offers merit-based scholarships to new international students. Scholarships are
normally awarded annually, however, new students who enter Menlo for the first time during the
Spring Semester will be considered for aone-semester scholarship.

THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD GLOBAL PARTNER
AWARD
The University of Illinois Springfield, approximately 200 miles southwest
of Chicago, was established in 1969 by the Illinois General Assembly.
Since its establishment, approximately 5,000 students enroll each year and choose majors from
among the 23bachelor’s degree programs, 20 master’s degree programs and 1 doctoral program
offered.
The University of Illinois Springfield is now offering a new merit award, the Global Partner Award, for
high-achieveing international undergraduate students (both freshman and transfer applicants) with a
GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. These awards range from $2000 to $4000 per year (renewable
each year),and are in addition to existing merit awards of $2500 to $5500 per year based on both
GPA (min. 2.75) AND ACT/SAT score.
