This is the 9th edition.The book was originally written in English, but Mariano Antolin Rato translate it in Spanish and this translated edition wasfirstly printed in Spain. We´ve decided to make our book report about this book because it was a requirement of Vocational Orientation class. We really liked it a lot because it also had a nice cover.Eddie, the main character, is a veteran of World War II.He worked as a maintenance manager at an amusement park, The Ruby Pier. This character had a very hard life; he lived in very complicatedsituations which marked his life greatly. Eddie is very lonely and he is very unhappy with his life, he always felt that his life had been useless.

As the title says, when Eddie died goes to heavenand meets five people.
The first person he finds is the "blue man", an old amusement park worker who died. People called him blue man as a skin disease acquired because of a blue hue. He actually diedbecause of Eddie, without him noticing. He teaches Eddie that no act is incidental, everything is related.The second person is his former captain of War .Eddie after this,never heard of him anymore.The Captain is a strong and determined man who sacrificed himself to save his team in the War, he teaches Eddie that sacrifice is part of life, is something that should be assumed, not that has to berejected or avoided. The third one is Ruby, the former owner of Ruby Pier which is a strong woman, although she suffered much in life.She teaches Eddie the importance of forgiving ,as hate,that is a...
