The 20th century was one of these time periods thathave marked what is known as modern history. During this century there has been several advances in technology, sociology, culture, economics. etc., and was in this one that economy changed in largeways. 1929's great depression came to be, where many families lost all their possessions and went down to bankruptcy. Many people decided to leave their hometowns to look for better opportunities inother regions of USA. Some states in the country seemed to offer work options for people who had lost everything during the depression of 1929, and what people looked for in these states were largecities that could provide employment opportunities, such as California. As California was famous in the past century by the California Gold Rush, the state was promising for those who were looking forbetter opportunities at that time. Because of this, during the 1930s California could have been the solution to the crisis that many Americans live after the great depression and the dust bowl era.In the 20th centuries many events happened that changed the human history, but one of the most famous and most remembered was the great depression of 1929. During this historical period many familieslost all their possessions, money, and the normal routine they had in their daily lives. This happened because the crisis was so dramatic that many businesses went to absolute bankruptcy, likebanks. And with this, many people, entire families, lost all what they had.
