Biografia Spielberg
Spielberg was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to a Jewish family. His mother, was a restaurateur and concert pianist, and hisfather, Arnold Spielberg, was an electrical engineer involved in the development of computers.
He became interested in films, throughout his early teens, Spielberg made amateur 8 mm"adventure" films with his friends.
As an intern and guest of Universal Studios, Spielberg made his first short film for theatrical release, the 26-minute Amblin in 1968 thetitle of which Spielberg later took as the name of his production company, Amblin Entertainment. After Sidney Sheinberg, then the vice-president of production for Universal studiosaw the film, Spielberg became the youngest director ever to be signed for a long-term deal with a major Hollywood studio Universal.
Spielberg teamed with Star Wars creator andfriend George Lucas on an action adventure film, Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first of the Indiana Jones films. The archaeologist and adventurer hero Indiana Jones was played byHarrison Ford. It became the biggest film at the box office in 1981, and the recipient of numerous Oscar nominations including Best Director and Best Picture. Raiders is stillconsidered a landmark example of the action-adventure genre.
Spielberg has won three Academy Awards. He has been nominated for six Academy Awards for the category of Best Director,winning two of them, and seven of the films he directed were up for the Best Picture. In 1987 he was awarded the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award for his work as a creativeproducer.
Steven Spielberg married in 1992 and has seven children. The eldest, Jessica want to be an actor and work for his father, because it’s an honour work for Steven Spielberg.
