JAMAICA INN

A ship in the coast, making its way on a stormy night. A man left Jamaica Inn on horseback and goes to the bluffs to conceal the warning light and cause the ship to run aground. Mens wait on the shore for the shipwreck. The men kill all the surviving sailors and loot the cargo.

It is daytime, Inside the stage coach, Mary Yellen a young Irish woman comments that she intends tostop at Jamaica Inn, and the people whoj listen it is horrified.

Mary tells to the coachman to drop her off there, but he speeds past the place and stops near the mansion of Sir Humphrey. She complain about it, but the coachman throws her trunk, tells her to ask Sir Humphrey for help, because he likes the young womans, and drives off.

Sir Humphrey is having a dinner with his friends, offupper class. The butler tells him that a young woman is looking for him, so he goes to see who is she. She tells to him that she needs to go to Jamaica Inn to find her aunt Patience because she is going to move to live with her, because her mother's dead. Sir Humphrey likes her beauty, so he offers his help anytime she needs, and orders two horses to ride to the inn.

Mary makes mistakes with theman who answers the door, who is in really her uncle Joss Merlyn. Reunited with her aunt Patience, a kind woman with a husband she loves, she assign an upstairs room to get settled. She notice that her aunt is totally under the vicious Joss, and also senses that something evil is happening at the inn.

In the rooms below, dirty mans are drinking and singing loudly meanwhile the uncle joins them.The uncle is the leader of this band of thieves. They are complaining that the recent wrecks have given a little money, and suspect a skimmer in their midst. Suspicion falls on the newest member of the gang, Jem Trehearne.

While this is happening, the squire has come back to Jamaica Inn to talk to Joss, as it is the squire who receives the contraband, keeping an enormous cut for himself. Thesquire and Joss argue about various things but Joss is no match for the squire, so he grumblingly in to everything the squire wants.

Mary from her room hears the lynching plan and spots Jem through a hole in the floor. The drunk mans fit a rope over a beam and prepare to hang him and look for a suitable platform, Mary finds the opportunity to cut the rope and drag Jem. Meantime the lynching partyreturns, finds the cut rope they noticed that Mary had helped him. The squire, had been entertaining guests in the house, Joss shows up and must give the unpleasant.

Jem and Mary have made their escape in a row boat below the inn, where they slept. Mary wakes first, decides she doesn't want to be with the law, and prepares in the rowboat. when Jem wakes, try to stop Mary, and distracted, therow boat slips off the shore and floats away leaving both of them in the cave. Unfortunately, their small row boat is spotted by the thieves, who know about the cave and found where they are. you can be in the cave from the top of the bluff by a small hole, so the thieves prepare to go down to reach them. They both hide behind a rock near the surf zone as the thieves' boat passes. They make theirway to shore, where Mary suggests to runaway to the home for assistance.

At the squire's house, Mary go to look for dry clothes. When she has gone, Jem reveals to Sir Humphrey that he is a lawman, an officer in the Royal Navy, who has been sended to uncover the thieves and send them to justice. He suspects that is another man behind the capers, someone who is sending the thieves informationabout ships, but he hasn't found him. The squire offers to help directly, as he is the ranking magistrate in the area. They both grab their pistols and charge off to the Jamaica Inn to arrest Mary's aunt, uncle, and the gang for piracy, led by his supposed friend a Captain Boyle, to come help capture the gang. Mary hears the arrest plan, so take the carriage to go warn her aunt and uncle, so they...
