RESUMEN
Recientemente ha aparecido una corriente indagativa centrada en la experimentacióny evaluación de la
tecnología electrónica digital como herramienta educacional y como explicación del razonamiento humano.
Ciertamente, son muchos los dispositivos y las innovaciones tecnológicas que apenas emergiendo encontraron aplicaciones y utilidades inmediatas en educación y psicología. También ha sido abundante la producción científica y las reflexiones teóricas y filosóficas sobre lapotencialidad de la tecnología digital para coadyuvar
en la comprensión del funcionamiento cerebral. Por su parte, la unión tecnología-psicología-pedagogía ha
generado una rama de la neurociencia derivada de la examinación del razonamiento matemático. Además,
muchos investigadores han estado produciendo resultados de las implicaciones socio-psico-pedagógicas derivadas de la introducción de esasnuevas tecnologías aplicadas a la enseñanza de la matemática. En consecuencia, hay coincidencia en la comunidad científica respecto a las expectativas de la asociación educación-tecnología para reducir el anumerismo y el analfabetismo tecnológico. Así, en razón de estas observaciones, el
propósito de este ensayo es examinar algunas perspectivas de actualidad sobre el potencial de la tecnologíadigital en el desarrollo pedagógico del pensamiento matemático en prospectiva hacia la primera mitad del
siglo XXI.

ABSTRACT
Recently, a research tendency emphasizing experimentation and evaluation of digital technology as a didactical tool as anexplanation to human reasoning has appeared. Certainly, many technological devices and
innovations as soon as they were created found an immediate application in education and psychology. Also,
scientific production and theoretical and philosophical reflections on the potentiality of the digital technology to understand human brain functioning have been abundant. On the other hand, thepsychologytechnology-pedagogy link has generated a scientific branch of the neurosciences that derived from the comprehension and development of mathematical thought. In addition, many researchers have been producing
outcomes about the socio-psycho-pedagogical implications of the introduction and application of new technologies in the mathematic education field. Consequently, there is a coincidence in thescientific community
concerning the expectations of the education-technology link in order to reduce the numeric and techno-
